In our first of the year Saturday Sādhanā series with our beloved head teacher Panos, we turn toward the heart of Yoga’s wisdom: the mind itself.
The Yoga Sūtras of Patañjali begin not with posture or breath, but with the recognition that the mind’s movements — vṛtti — shape our entire experience of reality. When these movements settle, the light of awareness shines unobstructed.
Every thought, emotion, or reaction leaves behind a subtle trace — a saṃskāra, an impression stored in consciousness. Over time, these impressions form our patterns of perception, our tendencies and habits, and ultimately shape who we (think we) are. To walk the way to awakening is to become intimate with this inner landscape — to understand how the mind moves, and how stillness reveals who we truly are.
Through satsang, guided practice, meditation, reflection, and discussion, this extended class invites you to explore the possibility of mastery not through control, but through clarity and insight.
An afternoon of philosophy, practice, depth, and sincere inquiry — not to be missed for those interested in the deeper layers of Yoga.
