About this Event
Sadhana Shivir is an ancient practice, here reimagined for the present day. It is a powerful combination of chanting (kiirtan) and silence (meditation), and we at Mantra and Meditation Manchester are exploring new ways to introduce this practice to the people of Manchester. Using the profoundly positive mantra Baba Nam Kevalam (Infinite, loving consciousness is the essence of all), sung to a variety of tunes with a range of musicians, this all creates a special vibration and atmosphere that is deeply peaceful, invigorating and nourishing.
If you are keen to adventure deeper into your meditation and mantra practice, and consider yourself someone who is keen to experiment with and explore the realms of consciousness, this is for you.
We will chant for 10 minutes and sit in silence for 10 minutes 6 times. As each round flows, the experience deepens, and many say it is totally transformative.
We will meet at 16:00 for a 30 minute welcome and introduction and end at 7:00. This will give us plenty of time to settle and share anything that has arisen.

This is a drug and alcohol free space.
Note: these events are part of a fundraising effort to buy land and built space for a grounded community near Manchester. Think 20 meter roundhouses filled with song and dance, fields bursting with organic produce, the gentle sound of a stream and children playing, perhaps with some rescue chickens clucking happily nearby, and you get the idea.
