We at Sad Songs Cantina are on a mission to introduce Toronto to the magical spirits that come from agave, a large blue-green cactus that grows in the high dry northern region of Mexico, especially the incredible smooth range of tequilas produced by small independent distilleries in Guanajuato, Jalisco, and Tamaulipas, using all-natural and traditional methods.
You may think you know what tequila tastes like, but you've never tasted tequila like this before.
Owner, Miguel Arguello, has sourced and curated an exclusive selection of tequilas, only available at Sad Songs Cantina, and paired them with a menu of elevated Mexican street food.
Not only will this event delight your taste buds, but also your mind, as we regale you with tales of Mexican history, as well as the what, where, and how of tequila production.
Menu: For the price of your ticket, you will enjoy three one-ounce sipping tequilas and one of our tequila-mezcal cocktails, paired with our signature sea bass ceviche, two Holy Tacos (chosen in advance from our selection of ossobuco, duck, pork belly, fish, or veggie), and a churro rolled in cinnamon, served with our in-house caramel sauce.
