Phase One of the Diocese of Prince Albert SacredTable Deep Dive Process was launched at Clergy Days this past September. Phase Two is an invitation to parish leaders who minister with parents and families to attend a deep dive session (priests, deacons, youth ministers, catechists for children, leaders of adult faith formation, RCIA, marriage formation, baptism formation, etc.).
• The Deep Dive for the Diocese of Prince Albert is scheduled for November 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Parish in Prince Albert.
• The Deep Dive session includes reflection on experiences of ministering with families, a presentation on the context for family ministry today in church documents and current research, the opportunity to practice generative listening skills, and a time to discern how what was learned can be applied in each person’s ministry context.
• The Deep Dive will prepare ministry leaders to engage parents in their community in dialogue about partnering in children’s faith development.
• After the Deep Dive, Christine Taylor and members of the Office of Evangelization and Catechesis Commission will support parishes in dialoguing with parents and collaboratively building ministries in the parish that serve the needs of families.
