In this workshop, we will provide tools, education, and practices to prepare you for labour and birth. We will walk you through each stage (late pregnancy, when labour starts, during labour, and post labour), empowering you with knowledge of what to expect, deepening your level of self-awareness, and learning new practices to help you feel empowered through your whole experience. It is for women who are pregnant at any stage. You can expect:
1. Education from a Labour and Birth Doula:
- Signs of labour
- Hospital policies and what to bring
- Positioning (what feels good)
- Possible interventions and pain management
- Self care after birth
2. Yoga practices from a Certified Yoga Therapist
- Grounding
- Movement
- Pelvic floor
- Breathwork
- Meditation/visualization
We will be approaching these practices from a holistic perspective, bringing awareness to the physical, energetic, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects. You will be loaded up with tools in your toolbox so you can go into labour and birth feeling empowered, connected, and prepared.

- Increases your self-awareness to more subtle aspects of yourself
- Helps to keep a healthy mindset through the challenging ups and downs that labour and birth bring
- Allows you to navigate your way through the experience with more confidence
- May lessen the risk of post-partum depression/anxiety and PTSD
What to bring:
- Comfy clothes to stretch in
- Water bottle
- Yoga mat (if you have one, if not one will be provided)
- Pen and notebook
- Snacks will be provided
