On the night before his crucifixion, Jesus asked his disciples to pray with him in the Garden of Gethsemane, asking, “Could you not stay awake with me one hour?” (Matt. 26:40). Every year we follow that command with an all-night “Sacred Watch” on Maundy Thursday. You are encouraged to come, keep watch, and pray with our Lord in the Sanctuary. The Watch begins immediately after 6 p.m. Maundy Thursday and Agape Meal service and ends at noon on Good Friday. The Watch takes place in the Sanctuary.
