_________

Sacred Somatic Alchemy is a multi-genre musical journey that channels the vibrant energy and soul of Caribbean culture, particularly the spirit of Trinidad Carnival. It merges the mindfulness and wisdom of yoga with the dynamic rhythms and movements that evoke emotional release, joy, and transformation.

In this class, you’ll experience:

  • A harmonious balance between mind and body
  • A cathartic release, leaving you feeling lighter, as if something has been purged
  • A deepening of trust, gratitude, love, and freedom within
  • An indescribable sense of connection and unity

Because the music spans various genres, the feelings it stirs—joy, lightness, and freedom—reflect the essence of Caribbean life. At its core, Caribbean culture is inherently shamanic. Movement, rhythm, and dance have long been spiritual tools, connecting us to our ancestors and the natural world. Our culture is rooted in this ancestral wisdom, where movement becomes a form of healing and transformation—something deeply innate within us.

In Sacred Somatic Alchemy, this shamanic spirit comes alive. Through the music and movement, you tap into the primal, healing power of our culture, which goes beyond the surface and fosters inner alchemy. Unlike other somatic practices that may not fully capture this essence, this experience awakens a sacred connection to the self and the universe, woven through the rhythms of the Caribbean.

The transformative process doesn’t stop at the studio door. You’ll begin to integrate creative habits that deepen your spiritual connection and self-awareness. This is the germination of true alchemy, guided by the warmth, creativity, and playful yet profound energy of our ancestors—shining a light on the path to higher consciousness and personal expansion.

What are others saying?
  • I was astonished by the breadth and depth of Nikki’s knowledge! Her unique blend of intellectualism mixed with her wide-open heart, playfulness, and charisma probed depths within us!
Nikki’s sincerity, ebullience, and passion are just plain fun to be around/in the presence of. In short: if you have the opportunity, I highly recommend you take advantage of any of Nikki’s offerings because she’s the real deal!
She’s done “the work,” and she’ll help you do yours.

  • I came into this with so much "fracturing", as Nikki puts it. I felt overwhelmed, like everything on my to-do list was equally pressing and of do-or-die importance and that none of it amounted to a sense of purpose in the world. I felt like I was keeping my head afloat and staying productive, but that I'd lost my way in a more holistic sense.
Nikki reminded me that "it's all one", that we are not the sum total of what we do or the different roles we play, but we are instead everything that ever was or has been. We ARE, and that that is enough, because it is everything. We did some beautiful visualization, mudras, bija mantras, and asana to clear each chakra and draw our kundalini energy upward from the root. I felt a sense of immediate calm and peace after the workshop, but over the weekend I noticed something really subtle and wonderful: I had more of a sense of curiosity and play about that long to-do list. I had perspective, a sense that the quality of my work on any one project could never violate my overall sense of capability and purpose.
Everything felt a little less important in the best way, because I had been reminded on a cellular level of what is most important. I didn't have to manipulate myself into having calm or ease or perspective, I just noticed that I HAD it bubbling up in me for the first time in months (and in the case of some projects, for the first time EVER). This week I start a new job, and normally I would be filled with anxiety and an imposter's need to over-prepare, and instead I feel excited and glad to start this job because I know, my body itself knows, I will be ENOUGH.
Thank you so much again for your love and light! Until the next one,
