SACRED TOOLS OF THE NORSE

Certain tools hold significant spiritual weight in Norse spiritualism and were likely used in various ceremonies and practices. Drinking horns, songs, mead, runes, and other objects were often used as sacred tools. They were imbued with magical properties and used for divination, spell work, and invoking specific energies. Karin will be talking about, and reading from, her brand new book: RUNE CASTING: OBSERVATIONS THROUGH A MODERN LENS. Books will be available for sale in Niflheim and Karin will be happy to sign your book for you.

RUNE CREATION WORKSHOP
$150 per person
(this is an all day experience and includes a boxed lunch)
Connect intimately with the runes by creating a set with your own energy, intent, hands.
We will prepare an altar with offerings and Karin and her apprentice will perform an opening ceremony to set intention and create a sacred space, followed by a bone tapping and shamanic drum journey to wash away the stresses of the every day and to prepare for connecting with the rune 'stones' you are about to bring into existence.
We will provide you with foraged items as well as other materials to create your set with. We do have some wood burners for those who would like to go this route, but if you have your own, or one to share, please bring it.
You will also be constructing a simple rabbit skin drawstring bag to keep your new runes in, which can also be used as a small casting cloth.

Come prepared to lay or sit comfortably on the floor for this segment. You may bring your own mat, animal fur, or blanket. Let us know if you need to borrow something.
