Sacred Roots, Living Faith is a powerful choral concert celebrating the enduring legacy of African American sacred music. Tracing a musical journey from the spirituals born of faith and resilience to the expressive power of gospel, this program honors music that has sustained, inspired, and unified generations.

Presented by the Detroit Musicians Association, the concert features the Brazeal Dennard Chorale, directed by Alice McAllister Tillman, alongside the Hartford Memorial Baptist Church Jubilee Chorus, under the direction of Alvin B. Waddles. Together, these distinguished ensembles bring depth, tradition, and artistry to a repertoire rooted in history and alive with meaning today.
