A Community Drumming Circle Hosted By: Cynthia Williams
The purpose of the Sacred Rhythm Night Drumming Circle is to create a shared rhythm of connection, community, and healing. This is an improvisational musical experience that feeds the soul and honors the beauty of release and self-expression.
*All are welcome *No experience needed * Feel the rhythm *Find
your voice * Come as you are.
This month, we will explore the meaning and intention behind honoring the four cardinal directions prior to drumming. We will discuss this practice in relation to ancient Native American teachings and the Medicine Wheel.
A visual diagram of the Medicine Wheel will be provided to support understanding. From there, we will allow the inspiration of the drum circle itself to guide us.
We will also open a conversation about where interest lies for future drumming circles.
Possible topics include:
Drumming techniques
History of the drum
Rhythm games
Meditation with the drum
The use of drumming for healing
What to expect:
• Opening introductions and grounding breath
• Discussion on honoring the four cardinal directions
• Sharing ideas and interests for future drum circles

• Multiple drumming rounds, with the first serving as a warm-up
• Closing circle with grounding breath, reflection, gratitude, and space to share what arose
