Now more than ever, we need to care for ourselves so we can be a source of light in the world. But we can't do that if we are depleted.
A regular yoga practice is a powerful tool that offers the grounding and healing we need for our heart, mind, and body.
The Sunday Sacred Pause session offers you a chance to work with simple yogic practices that nurture feelings of stability and calm. And how nice it is to do this together!
The sessions go like this:
Opening mantra to set the tone
15 mins of gentle dynamic movement to get energy flowing
40 mins of Yin Yoga to develop a deeper body/mind awareness
15 mins of pranayama practice to help soothe, settle and concentrate the mind
15 mins of deep relaxation for rest and healing
The power of these sessions is their consistency and simplicity (that does not necessarily mean you'll find them easy!). If you come along regularly you'll begin to really learn some of these key practices and my hope is that you'll then be able to integrate them into your life.
This session is not for you if you want excitement, stimulation, entertainment. This is a quiet space which facilitates a turning inwards, acceptance and peace, love, joy, all the good stuff!
Suitable for most folk but please be aware that we do work down on the floor during our Yin Yoga practice so you'd need to be ok with that. Pranayama can be done seated in a chair if that's more comfortable for you. All equipment is provided but you are most welcome to bring your own if you prefer. Booking is essential as space is limited.
