About this Event
It seems wild to be thinking of spring at this time of year, but that’s exactly what the natural world around us is doing. As we reach late summer, the trees begin going dormant. Many people liken dormancy in trees to the hibernation of animals. As daylight decreases and temperatures drop, trees enter a state of deep rest, conserving energy and resources to survive the winter. Dormancy is crucial to the long-term health of trees. It allows them to conserve energy for growth and development in spring and to reset their internal growth cycles. It is important to acknowledge and respect the dormancy phase in our lives, considering our connection to nature, even though it can be difficult with the pressures of modern living.
That’s why I want to carve a bit of time out to really focus on it and bring our attention to our innate, animal need to slow down and reset. I would love to invite you to check in with what you’re releasing before your dormant period and what you’re conserving your energy for. What do you want to see bloom in the Spring?
Let’s come together in a gentle and nurturing gathering, where we focus on sharing, creating, and giving praise for what we have learned from what we are releasing, and expressing gratitude for what we are nurturing for our spring renewal.
What you can expect: A two and half hour workshop with the first half focusing on shamanic journeys to see what we are releasing and what we are nurturing. Then, we will have a shared lunch before creating a small item out of clay as a talisman, representing what we wish to bring to fruition in spring.
You can expect to receive your talisman around two weeks after the event. This allows time for drying out and two firings.
What you will need to bring:Something to share for lunch,Yoga mat or something to lie on. Blanket and cushion to get cozy.
£35pp- exchange includes clay, materials and postage of talisman.
