Sacred Ground is a two-hour exploration of somatic movement, yoga, breathwork, and inquiry into the art of grounding — how anchoring into ourselves can help us reach the deepest layers of our tissue, open to more expansion and connection, and listen more fully to the quiet wisdom within. We’ll welcome in our relationship to gravity, solidity, and the sacred reciprocity between the ground of our bodies and the ground of the earth — the meeting place of matter and mystery.
In a world that so often pulls us up and out, leaving us ungrounded or untethered, this is an invitation to explore down and back and in. Together, we’ll sink into a delicious journey toward more presence, more self-nourishment, and more intuition — all through the gateway of our bodies.
Hi, I’m Jody — a Somatic Therapies practitioner, Somatic Dance facilitator, and yoga teacher who loves creating spaces for genuine exploration, playful discovery, and heartfelt connection. My yoga teaching journey began nearly 13 years ago right here at The Yoga Tree, and I’m excited to return to share my love of somatic movement with you.
This session will weave together yoga, pranayama, intuitive movement, and self-inquiry, all guided through the lens of curiosity. Everything offered is an invitation — you are free to explore in the way that feels best for you. No need to be an experienced yogi; a regular movement practice may help you feel more at home in the flow.
