As we all know, the Sacred Heart 1st XV enjoyed a special season in 2023, playing with passion, courage, and flare to claim the elusive 1A title for the first time since 1965. Not only did the young men do themselves and the College proud, but they also brought together the wider school community.To celebrate the season, and culminating in the famous victory over St Kentigern at Waitemata Rugby Club on August 19, we are excited to be hosting 'SACRED - A Rugby Story for the Ages' on Tuesday, 30 April at 7pm. As well as match footage, the documentary also includes interviews with members of the team and management, comments from proud Old Boys, plus recollections from a delighted Mr Patrick Walsh, Headmaster and Brother John.
The red-carpet occasion will be a chance to celebrate a special milestone in the history of the College. Tickets are $30 per person and are now available to purchase on our ticket site.
There will be light refreshments provided and a cash bar will operate throughout the evening.
