This year's Friendship Walk season is starting off with a bang! The UC Davis Aggies team has already recruited 37 members and raised nearly $1,000 of our $2,500 goal. Let's keep this momentum going! You do not have to be a member of our chapter to participate; Sacramento area community members are highly encouraged to join! You can sign up, join our team, and donate using this link: https://www.bestbuddiesfriendshipwalk.org/sacramento/supporting/#aggies
This year's walk will be held on April 27th from 9 AM-12 PM at North Natomas Regional Park.
The Friendship Walk is the largest walk in the country supporting inclusion for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, or IDD. The event is a blast -- last year we had an ice cream truck, face painting, dancing, therapy puppies, and more! . The goal of the Friendship Walk is to grow awareness of our mission, raise vital funding for our programs, and celebrate inclusion! The walk is free to attend, but donations will help support our friendship, jobs, leadership, and living programs. Take a look at the photo below to see the impact of last year's Friendship Walk on chapters in the Sacramento area!
