SACK JYMES and the NO NO BOYS

Just south of the Whistler Saloon and east of the Knob and Fork Inn, there lay a small town by the name of Buttonwillow McKittrick. Now, if you ask anyone in that there town of Buttonwillow McKittrick just who runs that crusty little slice of pie, bet your hobgobblin’ eye they’d all say the same damn name: a downright bad, bad man by the name of Sack Jymes and his good for nothin’ band of vigilantes, the No-No Boys.

But Sack and them boys have been off the grid for some time now. Ain’t nobody seen ‘em since Sally’s Slap Wagon and sweet Sally herself, the rumored muse and undying love of Mr Sack, went down in a heap of flames one night ‘bout 8 years back.

Murmurs have grown to whispers, whispers to words, and words to shouts – Sack Jymes and the No-No Boys are on their way back to sweet old Buttonwillow McKittrick, and to get there, they gotta stop in the birthplace of sin itself: San Francisco, California. They’re burning all in their path, and ain’t nothin gotta stop em.

WALDEN

Hailing from the musical mecca of Athens, Georgia, Walden pays homage to the city’s rich legacy while presenting a new atmospheric rock sound of their own. Walden burst onto the scene with their release of The Green Lights EP in 2018, playing shows across the nation, including festival appearances at Bonnaroo, Shaky Knees, KAABOO Del Mar, Summerfest, Suwannee Hulaween, and Sloss Music & Arts Festival. Walden has directly supported renowned acts including Moon Taxi, Band of Horses, and Twiddle.

The quartet is comprised of Richard Becker (vocals/guitar), Jamie de Lange (bass), Eric Hangartner (vocals/piano) and Andrew Mendel (drums). These four young men have captured the attention of audiences of all ages with their raw sound, infectious energy, and the undeniable connection they share on stage. Walden cultivated an authentic sonic vision, drawing inspiration from rock influences of the past such as Coldplay and U2, and modern acts such as Local Natives, Tame Impala, and Bon Iver.

While 2020 proved to be a difficult year for many, they took the year’s challenges in stride by releasing three new singles with accompanying music videos— “Daydreams”, a reflection on great times that have come to pass, “Changing”, an anthem of relinquishing the weight of negativity, and lastly “Green Lights – Isolation Mix”, a reimagined version of their original 2018 recording inspired by the many months spent in isolation during the pandemic. In addition to new music, Walden signed a sync deal with BMG Fieldhouse and was placed on multiple Spotify-curated playlists, including New Music Friday Italia.

Beginning September 10th, Walden is setting off on their most ambitious tour yet. Having coined the “Where’s Walden Tour,” the band is traveling through all 50 states starting with a 50 dollar budget. While they have graced legendary stages at Bonnaroo, Sloss Fest, and Summerfest, and opened for headliners Moon Taxi and Twiddle, this tour will be different. They haven’t released the full tour route yet – and that’s intentional. They will be playing in a variety of venues along their nationwide journey, ranging from traditional clubs like the Mercury Lounge in NY and Blind Pig in Ann Arbor, along with private parties, pop up acoustic shows, festivals, and everything in between.
