SABAI, born Siraparn “Gene” Takviriyanan, is a Thai-Canadian DJ and producer known for his emotionally rich blend of future bass, house, R&B, and pop. Based in Vancouver, he moved from Bangkok to Canada at 16 and later left college to pursue music full-time, eventually studying audio engineering. A pivotal connection with Monstercat co-founder Ari Paunonen helped launch his career. His breakout single “Million Days” in 2020 set the stage for a series of impactful releases, including “Save You,” “Broken Glass,” and “Memories.” Performing at major venues like Academy LA and the Hollywood Palladium, and festivals such as EDC Las Vegas and Together Festival, SABAI has built a loyal global fanbase. In 2024, he expanded his artistry with a live band experience and released North Star on his own label, IKIGAI. Looking ahead, SABAI is focused on evolving his live shows, deepening his sound, and collaborating across genres, all while staying true to his mission of making listeners feel connected and “comfortable”—the meaning behind his stage name.
