Sábados en Familia is a free kids’ cultural arts and crafts program delivered by the Emma S. Barrientos Mexican-American Cultural Center at Austin Central Library. This month we will read “With Lots of Love” by Jenny Torres Sanchez, illustrated by André Ceolin. With a touching story about a young girl who misses her grandmother in Mexico, and is thrilled to receive a gift in the mail from her, the participants will be making letters to their loved ones which they can color and make into a pop up card. They will also have the option of making tortillas out of play dough inspired by the ones Rocio received from her grandma.
All ages welcome. Free and open to the public. Gratis y abierto al público.
