Critics and audiences alike admire the Mohan Brothers for their technical precision, emotional depth, ability to connect with listeners through soulful, expressive playing.They are the first Indians to be invited to perform at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles. They have performed across the globe at various prestigious venues and festivals. These include the Berklee College of Music, Boston; Symphony Space, New York; Learnquest Music Conference, Boston; Cleveland Thyagaraja Festival ; Musical Instrument Museum, Phoenix ; Central Conservatory of Music, China to name just a few. The Mohan Brothers were nominated for the Global Indian Music Academy Awards for the Best Classical Instrumentalists. Mohan brothers have been hailed by Sangeet Martand Pt Jasraj as one of the most worthy torchbearers of Indian Classical music among the young generation. After listening to their jugalbandi in 2012, Pt Ravi Shankar decided to launch them in the USA under his foundation. This tour got materialised in 2015 and was produced by the Ravi Shankar Foundation of USA. In India, their prominent performances include Sawai Gandharva Festival, Pune ; Vishnu Digambar Jayanti Samaroh, Delhi ; Gunidas Sangeet Sammelan, Mumbai ; Saptak Festival, Ahmedabad; Harivallabh Sangeet Sammelan, Jalandhar and Serendipity Arts Festival, Goa. On their recent tour to the USA, they were interviewed on the popular television show `Good Day New York` on FOX TV. They have given lecture demonstrations at universities like Wayne State University, Detroit; Tianjin Conservatory of Music China and the University of the Arts, Philladelphia. They have given several TEDx Talks in India to create awareness about Indian Classical Music among the young generation. Their prominent albums include "Echoes from the yellow Land" and "The Majestic Court" by Times Music. Mohan brothers have recently performed at The Royal Festival Hall, London with Anoushka shankar and other prominent musicians for the centenary celebrations of Pandit Ravi Shankar. They were also invited to perform for the 50th anniversary celebrations of The Bhavan which is the premier organisation in London for Indian art and culture. Mumbai Dr Rajesh Srinivasan (Mridangam) He is one of the very prominent mridangam artiste in the country known for his brilliance and versatility. He is an "A" graded artiste of the All India Radio and Doordarshan. He has lent his music for Bollywood productions and film music, featured in Indian Idol, MTV Coke Studio, Zee Music. He has received some of the highest level awards like “Tal Mani”, Best Mridangam Award from Music Academy Chennai, and “Acharya Ratna” by Padma Bhushan Dr. T V G (Academy of Indian Music & Arts) for his contribution to teaching and propagation of Indian Percussion for last 3 decades. The latest feather in his cap is " Honorary doctorate D.Litt Award in "Performing Arts" conferred by Mc Stem Eduversity, USA. Pt Kalinath Mishra (Tabla) Pt. Kalinath Mishra is a renowned Tabla Maestro from India. He started learning tabla at an early age from Pandit Madan Mishra and Pandit Kishan Maharaj of the Banaras Gharana. He is an "A" grade Indian classical percussionist at All India Radio, Mumbai. Starting at the age of 3.5, and learning from the best of Gurus, he has developed his unique style of playing and has won many awards and accolades. He has played along with almost all the eminent artists lof India, nationally and internationally, in various festivals and concerts. Today, he runs a tabla school in honour of his father Pt. Rakhaal Mishra, who was a renowned classical singer.
