TRAINING/FLYING DAY AT MOBILE DEPLOYMENT WING (Swartkop Air Force Base) OLD JHB ROAD VALHALLA SATURDAY 2 NOVEMBER 2024.The SAAF Museum Historic Flight will be taking to the air on Saturday morning the 2nd of November 2024. Flying starts at around 9 AM and continues until 12PM.
Some of the aircraft that usually fly are the Cessna 185, Bosbok, Harvards, Puma,
and Allouette III helicopters.

The Buccaneer Restoration who in addition to their merchandise provide
visitors with the opportunity to sit in the Buc’s cockpit
The Spitfire Restoration Project have a wide range of mechanise on sale to raise funds for their project.
The Zwartkop Scale Modellers are holding their annual Model of The Year
(MOTY Competition in their Clubhouse through which everyone is welcome to
stroll and view the collection of built models. For young future aviators they
have aircraft models and pictures on sale for a nominal fee an aviation and
modelling related magazines free for the taking.
S-51 Helicopter Restoration Project team who are restoring the first helicopter to serve in the SAAF and are looking forward to telling you about their project.
The Toy and Book Stall will also be open
The Friends Boerewors Kiosk will be operational selling their famous Boerewors
Rolls, Hot Dogs, Cool Drinks, Water, Coffee, Cappuccinos and snacks.
