About this Event
The Department for Environment and Water are undertaking First Nations engagement on some of South Australia's key climate change projects underway.
DEW recognises that First Nations peoples have been caring for land, river and sea Country for more than 65,000 years. It is critical for First Nations peoples to contribute knowledge and experience into the impacts of climate change to inform the work the South Australian Government does to respond.
This workshop will aim to discuss climate change action in the state, covering topics such as current projects, the effects of climate change on First Nations communities, country and peoples, and ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in South Australia.
The workshops will be facilitated by Melissa Clarke, Principal Consultant at Katji Yanun Consultancy and Aboriginal Services.
