Sunday Social Paddles are back ?Join us at Hurricanes Paddling Crew every month to experience and learn about Outrigger Canoeing.
We will introduce you to the history of the sport and club, run you through the basics, and, explain what it's all about, before picking up a paddle and getting on the water!
Members of the club will be around so feel free to ask questions and mingle! Don't be nervous! It's all about connecting and having fun ?
** No prior paddling experience is necessary however you must be a competent swimmer. Paddles and PFD's will be provided on the day **
What you'll need:
1. Training attire that you are comfortable getting wet
2. A towel and dry change of clothes for afterwards
3. Water
4. A fantastic attitude
5. Coffee money for afterwards (?☕️)
? We are located right next door to the 8 Knots Tavern in East Fremantle. You can use their car park or park right across the road on the grass area. Hurricanes HQ will be open so you can just walk through to the back near the water. One of our members will greet you, have a quick chat, get you to fill out some basic paperwork before getting everyone together.
Note:
3 of our awesome juniors are heading over to the Sunshine Coast (along with our seniors) to compete at Nationals in May. To help them get there, we will be serving morning tea on the day. There will be all sorts of yummy treats, coffee, tea, and many, many more! A simple "thank you donation" is payment enough ?
