This talk focuses on menstruation - the first phase of the menstrual cycle sometimes called "the inner winter."
We will discuss menstruation in the workplace and how period products influence the daily lives of women with a wonderful lineup with experts in the field.

MEET THE PANEL
EMMA LIBNER, Author & Activist
Emma Libner is a journalist and author who has written about sexual and reproductive health since 2017 under the pseudonym Kh Underlivet (“Kind Regards, the Pelvis”). She has covered a range of issues such as premenstrual syndrome and the societal implications of menstrual pain, including the role of the menstrual cycle in the labor market. Her second book Tørstig (tr. Thirsty) will be released in spring 2026.
SIGNE BANKE, PhD Market Anthropologist
Signe Banke is a market anthropologist who researches menstruation and everyday consumer goods. She did her PhD at the University of Southern Denmark, where she explored how different menstrual products shape daily life with menstruation and how menstruators relate to their bodies and menstrual blood. Signe’s research shows that menstrual products are not just practical solutions, but actively shape what menstruation feels and looks like, what we notice about our bodies and how we come to know them.
