People across Ryedale with a diagnosis of, or connection to Parkinson’s are invited to a free event to help them learn more about the condition, and how to cope with its impact on their lives, in Norton on 12 March 2026. The Ryedale Support Group of Parkinson’s UK has organised the event, which will provide people with Parkinson’s and their loved ones with information and advice about the support available to them locally.
Parkinson’s UK Local Adviser, Sue Martin, will be at the event to explain the support Parkinson’s UK can offer, and volunteers will be on hand to make sure everyone is made to feel welcome and comfortable.
The free event is taking place at Norton Trinity Methodist Church, 10 Plum Street, Norton, YO17 9JA. It starts at 2pm and finishes at 3.30pm. The group usually meets on the second Thursday of each month, and if people are unable to attend this event they are more than welcome to join another meeting.
