Join us for an open discussion on climate justice and decoloniality as we explore the socio-spatial and ecological injustices affecting communities worldwide. Together, we will look into how these dynamics are shaped across different scales and spaces.
This event highlights how climate solutions often exclude the voices of those most impacted, particularly in the Global South, and tend to reinforce existing inequalities.
Our speakers will share stories of community-driven movements challenging hierarchical dynamics and structures by focusing on sustainability and justice over profit and endless growth.
How do indigenous and non-Western knowledge systems, often overlooked, offer important insights for building sustainable futures and just climate solutions?
How can degrowth, as a critical frame for transforming socio-economic systems, advocating for reduced consumption and rethinking progress beyond economic growth, contributes to such solutions for the climate crisis?
Together, we will reflect on how collective liberation can guide us toward more just, sustainable, and interconnected futures.
👥 Speakers: Emma Marzi, Daniela Jimenez, Pierre Smith Khanna, Brototi Roy
