ABOUT
This is always a fun day on the water. Unlike the other 400+ RVYC boats, Strum will actually sail past our Commodore sailboat friend, Jim (& Joanie) Gould. For that reason, we appreciate the core-crew to help make sailing happen, and to use this time to bring your partner/friend along to enjoy s day on the water and experience sailing on Strum. This is not the New York Yacht Club, so think of this as a costume party on the water, with lots of champagne and no motor. Garden party to follow. Uber/Lyft recommended. RSVP
FOOD & DRINKS provided/available up top.
GIFTS not necessary, but champagne is always appreciated.

Opening Day Dinner Dance:
Friday, May 10
Get ready for Opening Day by enjoying a plated 3-course dinner with a special menu created by Chef Kaesta and dance to a live performance from Vancouver favourites Dr. Strangelove!
Reception starts at 6pm and the main event begins at 7pm. The dress code is Club Uniform or black tie for men, and cocktail attire for women. Price is $135 per person plus tax and service fees.

0930 HRS - Weather Decision: Go or No Go (Channel 69).
1130 HRS - Sailpast Commences with the Firing of the Cannon.
1400 HRS - KidsFest in Hastings Mill Park, featuring bouncy castle, face painters, snacks, games, Ocean Ambassadors, Seal Rescue.
1430 HRS - Commodore's Receiving Line followed by the Garden Party on the Front Lawn.
