Our next Mentoring Essentials Training will be Saturday October 4 from 9a-5p. You must apply online prior to the event to attend.
Become an Approved Volunteer Youth Mentor with Rogue Valley Mentoring, or take this training for personal/professional development.
The training covers strength-based communication, trauma-informed care, youth development, active listening, and avoiding bias; it also gives scenarios in small groups to practice the skills learned.

The volunteer mentor approval process includes the Mentoring Essentials Training, a Background Check including Fingerprints, an Interview with RVM staff, and RVM staff checking 3 References you provide on the Mentor Application. This process is free to you, and fingerprints can be rolled at several retail locations around the Rogue Valley.
