DRINK & DRAW- 6-8pm
Hosted and taught by local horror artist, Brit Austin and partnering with the RVA Krampusnacht crew, this Drink & Draw edition gets an extra holiday special with a gore-geous model, KRAMPUS!Admission includes one drink of choice (non-alcoholic options available), art materials, and education! All skill levels encouraged! Feel free to bring your own art supplies.
Want to attend but don't feel like you can draw a stick figure? No worries! This inclusive space is welcome and encouraging to all folks who want to draw, haven't picked up a pencil in 90 years, doodle in their dreams, or are just plain curious. Basic drawing demonstration included in admission!
MASK MAKING WORKSHOP- 8pm-10pm
Don't have a mask for the Krampus walk on Saturday? No problem! Steven Warrick brings his expert skills to help you create one of your own. There is no experience needed for this workshop and supplies will be provided!Steven is an illustrator and sculptor that has focused on masks for 15 years in a variety of materials. In this workshop we will be using a technique called "taper mache" using a base form mask and building monstrous features like horns and tongues upon it using paper towels, aluminum foil, and lots of masking tape!
