Join the Social & Behavioral Science Department and the Holocaust and Genocide Studies Certificate Program at Bucks County Community College for a powerful presentation with Holocaust survivor Ruth Kapp Hartz, in collaboration with the Holocaust Awareness Museum and Education Center.
As a child in France during WWII, Ruth was forced to live under a false identity to survive. Her family renamed her “Renee,” and she spent years in hiding, separated from her parents until liberation. Her remarkable story inspired the musical "Hidden."
Co-writers David and Jenny Heitler-Klevans will perform excerpts from "Hidden," bringing Ruth’s story to life through music.
“We’re so grateful to welcome Ruth Hartz and the creators of 'Hidden' to share this moving story with our college community,” said Paula Raimondo, professor of Holocaust and Genocide Studies. “Hearing directly from a survivor deepens our understanding of humanity and justice.”
This free program is made possible by a donation in memory of Charles and Janet Stern.
