10 AM—1 PM Talking Circle
Facilitated by Joely BigEagle-Kequahtooway, TD Curatorial Fellow: Indigenous Relations, the Talking Circle will begin with Dr. Shauneen Pete, who will lead with her talk, Through our laughter and tears we find connection: Women and story. Artist Ruth Cuthand will share her insight on her exhibition Beads in the Blood / mīgisak mīgohk: A Ruth Cuthand Retrospective and what is next for her. Following this, members from the community will be welcome to share.
Who can attend: This event is open to the public—Female and Two-Spirit individuals only.
Attendees are encouraged to explore Ruth Cuthand’s exhibition Beads in the Blood / mīgisak mīgohk: A Ruth Cuthand Retrospective following the Talking Circle. Event attendees can access the Gallery spaces after the event for no additional cost.
