With a sound rooted in blues, gospel, and classic soul‑jazz, Leonieke leads the charge with fiery grooves, warm touch, and a musical maturity beyond her years. Backed by top‑tier players, Midnight Special delivers deep swing, late‑night vibe, and heritage‑rich jazz energy that moves every room they play.

Renowned saxophonist Eric Person has performed with jazz legends including McCoy Tyner, Dave Holland, and Chico Hamilton, and led acclaimed ensembles like the Eric Person Quartet and Big Band. A prolific composer with eleven albums to his name, Person blends tradition with innovation, earning praise for his expressive style and versatility. He’s also a dedicated educator, currently teaching at Bard College and continuing to shape the future of jazz.

Guitarist Bob DeVos is a master of soul‑jazz tradition, known for his warm tone, deep groove, and decades of work alongside some of the music’s most respected voices. A veteran of bands led by Richard “Groove” Holmes, Jimmy McGriff, and Charles Earland, DeVos has built a reputation for blues‑infused sophistication and impeccable swing. As both leader and sideman, he brings a seasoned, expressive sound that reflects the heritage of organ‑group jazz while continuing to shape its modern evolution.

Drummer Nick Scheuble is a versatile and deeply swinging musician whose work spans straight‑ahead jazz, Afro‑Latin traditions, and big‑band artistry. A longtime presence on the New York and New Jersey scenes, he has performed with respected bandleaders, organ groups, and jazz orchestras, earning a reputation for precision, musical sensitivity, and dynamic rhythmic drive. As both sideman and leader, Scheuble brings a seasoned, expressive approach that reflects the heritage of modern jazz drumming while supporting every ensemble with clarity and soul.
