HEADLINER
JEAN PAUL
Co-host of Breakfast Television, the Trinidadian-born, Brooklyn-raised and currently a resident of Toronto, comedian Jean Paul has always had an innate sense of humour. Maybe it’s because of his curious nature; perhaps it’s because of his light-hearted view of life. Whatever the reason, Jean knew at an early age that a comedy career was right for him. Since then, Jean has travelled extensively across Canada, the U.S., the Caribbean, South Africa and the U.K., performing at legendary venues such as the Apollo in New York, the Comedy Store in London, and Place des Arts in Montreal. No stranger to the festival circuit, Jean has performed at Just For Laughs, Halifax and Winnipeg comedy Festivals and, among other credits has written for and toured with Russell Peters.
Jean has also been nominated for several prestigious awards, including the Tim Sims Award for up-and-coming comedians, and a Gemini Award for Best Writing in a Comedy Series.

He has also proven his talent in TV and film. He has conquered television as a correspondent on Phat TV, portrayed a wide assortment of characters in the CBC special Thick and Thin, and appeared multiple times as a guest on the CBC’s Strombo Show and CTV’s A Russell Peters Christmas Special. He also played the popular Fluff E the Hip-Hop Bunny, on the Comedy Network’s Buzz Show, and is featured in Home Again and A Universal Language.

"Savage wit and spontaneous combustion combine into an explosive comedic barrage. This cat is fearless. In terms of any act, he works without a net. He is so freewheeling, it's almost psychedelic." - Daryl Jung, NOW Magazine, Toronto

SPECIAL GUEST
JOHN MOSTYN
John Mostyn is a Toronto based comedian hailing originally from Glasgow, Scotland. Since moving to Canada, he has quickly emerged himself as one of the most exciting and popular performers in the city. John's storytelling and quick witted fish-out of-water humour has had him likened to other Scottish comedy legends; Billy Connolly and Kevin Bridges. A charming, friendly, and hilarious stand up, he is always a crowd favourite.

John was recently featured in Interrobang's top ten up-and-coming comedians to watch in Canada. His debut album ,'Scottish C*nt', was released in 2022 via Cottage Country Digital, went straight to #1 on the ITunes chart, and was received to great critical acclaim. The Interrobang listed it as #1 Comedy Album in Canada 2022, and legendary comedy reviewer, Glen Sumi, called it his #2 Canadian comedy album of the year.

John has opened up for comedy heavyweights such as Russell Howard, James Adomian, Josh Gondelman, River Butcher, Randy Feltface, Amy Miller, and Matt Braunger. He has performed at Just For Laughs Toronto, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Cottage Comedy Festival, Brantford Comedy Festival, Toronto Sketchfest, Montreal Sketchfest, the United Comedy Festival and more. In 2016 he won the 'Mark Breslin Award for Stand up Comedian of the Year'. John performs nightly in Toronto and regularly performs across Canada and the United States.
