About this Event

Do you have a business in the Rushcliffe local authority area and want to access grant funding to make your business greener? Then this workshop is for you.

The UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) is offering energy grants to local businesses to help them cut emissions and become greener and more sustainable. The first stage of a business's application for this grant is an energy audit.

This in-person workshop will help you to produce your own energy audit for your business. It will enable you to produce an initial baseline of the energy you are currently using and the greenhouse gases your business is emitting, whilst helping you to calculate the cost savings and emission reductions of the energy saving ideas you would like to implement.

If you aren’t sure what energy saving options are available to you, do not worry, the workshop will run through options that most businesses can implement, and our workshop facilitator will be on hand to discuss more bespoke ideas tailored specifically to your business.

You will need to bring a laptop with access to Microsoft Excel along with electricity, gas and, where applicable, oil bills covering the last completed financial year for the business.

What’s covered:

· Introduction to energy audits

· Calculating your energy usage and identifying trends

· Common energy reduction initiatives

· How to calculate cost and emission savings of project

· Your questions answered

What outcomes will be achieved?

· You will understand your annual energy usage

· You will be able to conduct an energy audit for your business
