Run, walk, or race your way to the Rattler! The second annual Gympie Lions Rush to the Rattler is back on Sunday 12 October 2025 and it’s bigger, better and bursting with community spirit!
Whether you’re chasing a personal best or just looking for a fun morning out with the family, this event has something for everyone.

⏰ Check-in: from 6:00am | First race: 6:30am
📍 Start: Gold Mining Museum | Finish: historic Gympie Station

👟 3km – Walk-friendly & perfect for families
👟 5km – A fun run for all ages
👟 10km – The ultimate test for keen runners
After the race:
Cross the finish line at the historic Gympie Station and refuel with a sausage on bread & bottled water (included in your entry).
Coffee, cold drinks & extra food are available for purchase.
Board the Silver Bullet train for a scenic ride back to Monkland Station, then enjoy a short walk to the Gold Mining Museum.
Grab your souvenir hat ($25 pre-purchase) to remember the day!
This is a family-friendly event — all ages welcome (children under 16 must be with an adult). Don’t forget your water bottle, sunscreen and hat.
