Program:
📌 Day 1 (May 23rd) - Individual arrival in Cund village and short warm up ride
Your journey begins in the secluded village of Cund, where you'll arrive around noon to a warm welcome from our host, Jonas Schafer. Jonas has lovingly restored several of Cund's old homes, transforming them into luxurious 3-4* havens that retain the village's timeless charm. As Cund experiences a gentle revival, you'll find modern comfort seamlessly intertwined with its ancient traditions.
This afternoon, embrace the tranquility of rural life. Explore the picturesque landscapes on a hike to a neighboring village, enjoy a leisurely warm-up bike ride around Cund, or simply unwind by the pool. For a truly authentic experience, a horse-drawn cart ride over the rolling hills awaits.
📌 Day 2 (May 24th) - Cycling from Cund to Villa Vinea winery
Today marks the beginning of our bike and wine adventure. Covering a 40 km route, we'll explore the Villa Vinea winery and adjacent villages. Following a lunch break and winery tour, we'll trace our route back to Valea Verde, discovering quaint hidden villages with wooden churches, local sheepfolds, and traversing through forests. You have the option to select either the easier pvaed route or the more challenging gravel path leading to the winery.
📌 Day 3 (May 25th) – Around the hills and cheese tasting
After a medieval evening and a rejuvenating breakfast, today we will train our feet with a nice gravel, forest and asphalt route passing the beautiful UNESCO village of Biertan, providing an opportunity to relish the pastoral life in Saxon Transylvania. Departure late in the afternoon, not before enjoying an amazing artisan cheese tasting session from Manufaktura de Branza.
We can also customize the tour for travellers who want to join only for 1 or more days.
