About the Event
The Runplugged Track Invitational is a casual, community-focused track meet designed to bring together runners, triathletes, and endurance athletes from across the region to beat the Seattle Freeze and make new connections. While there will be plenty of friendly competition, ALL paces are welcome whether you are a sub-6 miler or just want to walk/run with company. This will be an "unplugged run" - no headphones, no fancy timing equipment, just old-school camaraderie and cheering each other on. To keep with the old school feel, the theme of the race will be 70s-80s classic track - think Prefontaine era: short shorts or colorful tights, big hair/mustaches, bright colors.
Whether you’re racing for a PR or just want to feel the energy of a group track event, Runplugged is the perfect way to end the 2025 season.
How it Works
Main event: 1600m (one mile) race, broken up into 3-4 heats.
Team relays: 4x400 & 4x200 - the real magic will happen during the team relays after the mile heats: runners are encouraged to sign up for 1-2 relays by forming a team ahead of time or meeting solo runners at the meet. The relays will be the 4x400 and 4x200.

9:15 AM — Group Dynamic Stretching
Mile Heats (Self-Seeded)
9:30 AM — Heat 1: Party Pace (10:00+ mile)
9:45 AM — Heat 2: 7:30+ mile
9:55 AM — Heat 3: 6:00+ mile
10:05 AM — Heat 4: Sub-6:00 mile
Relay Events
10:15 AM — 4×200m Mixed Relay
10:30 AM — 4×400m Mixed Relay
