We want you to be safe as you run and walk, now that we are heading into the less daylight time of year. Maybe you already wear lights and reflective gear, but what are you forgetting that will increase your safety as you work on your fitness goals or walk the family dog? This session can help! Guest presenters Corporal Davis of the Grand Chute Police Department and Officer Benoit from the Neenah Police Department will join us for a discussion about issues being aware of your surroundings, and habits/routine. They will discuss how to avoid being a distracted runner/walker, the importance of straying from your routine to improve safety (yes, you read that right!), and the many tools that enhance or inhibit your safety when you go out.
Officers will also discuss the State statute as it pertains to pedestrians in the roadway, crosswalks, etc. and share important safety tips for anyone on foot alone or in a group. You won't want to miss this!
