A yearly event where we invite visiting locomotives from all across the UK to Barnards to help run the passenger service and operate a number of special trains.Look out for our heritage freight train with wagons dating back to 1972, Glen Dowd branch line specials, and special trains operated with our fleet of Mardyke locomotives, a firm based up the road in Bulphan with an incredible history of miniature railways.
We are busy organising the locomotives for this event, and will announce the line-up on the run up. Several miniature traction engines and steam lorries will be navigating the site, offering something else to enjoy meandering around.
--- Running Day With Visiting Engines ---
๐The Barnards Miniature Railway will be running train services on this day. Gates open at 11:00 and the last train leaves at 16:00. Trains run at regular intervals through the day.
Please note the railway is usually very busy when we open at 11, to avoid the longer waiting times we recommend you arrive after we have opened.
