Elder Futhark: Norse Runes for Divination and Magical PracticeIn this three-class series, we will discuss the energetic forces attached to each of the twenty-four runes in the Elder Futhark, including their meanings in divination, the deities they are connected to, and their uses in spellwork and daily life. Each class will cover one aett ( a set of eight runes), the stories behind them and how they impact the world around us, how to interpret them in divination and create a set for your personal use.
Tyr's Aett:
The third and final class in our series will take an indepth look at the final aett of the Elder Futhark. This aett brings our attention to community and relationships and how we are but a small piece of the greater cosmic whole. It asks us to look at the balance of solar and lunar, action and introspection, work and rest; and how we need that balance for a full life. We will look at the myths of Tyr and his role as the god of victory and justice and the wisdom he teaches as a great protector.
