Elder Futhark: Norse Runes for Divination and Magical PracticeIn this three-class series, we will discuss the energetic forces attached to each of the twenty-four runes in the Elder Futhark, including their meanings in divination, the deities they are connected to, and their uses in spellwork and daily life. Each class will cover one aett ( a set of eight runes), the stories behind them and how they impact the world around us, how to interpret them in divination and create a set for your personal use.
Heimdall's Aett:
The second class in our series focuses on the second set of eight runes. This aett asks us to walk the path of trials. These runes contain the lessons of death, pain, loss, challenge, while also holding sacred the cyclical nature and mysteries of life and love, our connection to spirit, and how truth, while sometimes harsh, brings forth a light that illuminates all pathways. We will consider the role of Heimdall as the Gatekeeper of the Bifrost and how his wisdom can help us navigate our own world.
