“Run with the Cops” returns Thursday, Nov. 13, at 9:30 a.m. on the track at Santa Fe College's Northwest Campus, 3000 NW 83 Street, Gainesville. This annual event invites the entire community to participate in a morning of fun, fitness and fellowship while supporting vulnerable populations in our area. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the event. The event, free and open to all ages and abilities, encourages participants to run, walk or roll alongside law enforcement officers from various local agencies. It's a unique opportunity to interact with police officers in a positive and engaging environment while also promoting health and wellness.
In addition to the run, there will be displays of police and fire rescue vehicles, including specialty and antique units, giving attendees a closer look at the tools and equipment used in public safety. Participants will also have the chance to learn important safety tips and discover resources for staying secure in everyday life.
