Gather at 6 pm, and at 6:30 pm we will run, walk, or jog through the Way of Salvation Light display as a group.Early and Late starts are not allowed for safety concerns.
This event is free and open to the public.
Participants begin at the Church of the Nazarene parking lot, runners lead, followed by walkers (who are asked to stay to the right so that runners may pass).
After completing the light display there are two options:
1: FINISH: participants turn west (left) onto Highland, then south (left) onto Grand, and return to the church. The entire course is approximately 1 mile.
2: RUN 4 MORE (not a closed course): participants turn west (left) onto Highland, then north (right) onto Grand. Follow Grand to Grant (slight jog west (left). Continue on Grand to the Historic Carthage Square. Circle the Courthouse and exit onto Main Street (southwest corner). (Optional detour to Sparkle in the Park at Central Park by taking an out (west/left) and back (east) on 7th street back to Main). Continue on Main to Centennial. Turn east (left) on Centennial to return to Grand. Turn south (right) on Grand to return to Fairview/Nazarene Church.
Well-behaved, leashed dogs are allowed.
Bikes are allowed but asked to follow and stay behind the walkers.
Cookies and cocoa served after the run inside the Nazarene church while supplies last!
