ABOUT THE RACE
Started in 1978, Run for the Zoo is one of the longest-running races in Chicago. A beloved tradition for runners and walkers alike, Run for the Zoo directly supports Lincoln Park Zoo, a nonprofit, privately-owned zoo that remains free and open to all, 365 days a year. While Run for the Zoo has evolved over the years, its family-friendly atmosphere and accessible course remain consistent, making it a must on all race calendars.
