Rumble in the Jungle | Weekend in Uganda

From the rumble of Murchison Falls to the ooh-ooh aah-aah of the Chimpanzee and the call of the African Eagle we will plunge into the savannah, jungle and West Nile wildlife of Uganda!
With massive national parks full of wildlife in the countryside of Uganda, home to the famed Rabonga Forest, the Nile River and the breath-taking spectacle of Murchison Falls, where the Nile forces its way through a gap in the rocks, only 7 meters wide, to then tumble 43 metres before flowing into Lake Albert.
The outlet of Lake Victoria sends around 300 cubic meters per second of water over the falls, squeezed into a gorge less than 10 m wide. This powerful turbulence is a hypnotizing view, awarding visitors with incredible photo opportunities.
The abundance of water and animals including hippos and Nile crocodiles are not surprising here. While lots of other animals come to the riverbed in search of a drink of water and some lush grass while trying to cool off and gain respite from the scorching heat.
From the elusive Rhino and Chimpanzee to the regal Ankole cow and African Eagle, here you can expect sightings of buffalos, antelope and an atlas of birds, including kingfisher, herons, egrets, fish eagles and so much more.
Day 1: Meeting at T3 at 11.30 am, for a flight 13.20. Arrival, immigration, check-in to hotel.
Day 2: Entebbe, Shoebill, Budongo Forest Chimpanzees (COVID test)
Depart Entebbe and drive northwest into the plains of Nakasongola with a picnic lunch stop. We will take a boat trip to spot Shoebill, one of the strangest birds on the planet.
After lunch we will head to Budongo Forest to find the elusive Chimpanzee. After a safety briefing, we’ll accompany the wildlife rangers into the jungle in search of these wild Chimpanzees. Once located, we’ll spend time observing our closest cousins interact in a lively and often raucous manner. Afterwards we drive north to our camp for dinner and rest.
Day 3: Morning game drive, boat safari, Murchison Falls National Park.
Early morning trip across the river for a game safari. The rolling savannah gives its way to the papyrus strewn Nile Delta where The Nile flows into Lake Albert. Keep your eyes open for all the animals of Africa - Giraffe, various Antelope species, Buffalo, Warthog and if you are lucky: Lion, Leopard and Hyena.
Afterwards we’ll begin our boat cruise and safari along the West Nile with wildlife sightings of hippo, crocodile, and the African Hawk. We’ll reach as close to the churning of Murchison Falls as we can before return for a picnic lunch before trekking along the falls from above and below. After getting closer views of the falls along the riverbank we’ll feel the rumble and shake of the most powerful waterfall in the world with an up-close and misty finish.
Day 4: Return to Entebbe.
After leisurely morning breakfast we’ll head back to Entebbe to pick up our COVID results and make some stops along the way for souvenirs, lunch and maybe a village visit before our flight back to Dubai. BAck to Dubai next day morning 02.30 am.
