Performing many of his most popular songs from the last few decades, Rufus Wainwright's Australia 2025 tour is guaranteed to be enthralling and sublime.
Praised by the New York Times for his “genuine originality,” Rufus Wainwright has established himself as one of the great male vocalists, songwriters, and composers of his generation. His storied career includes collaborations with Elton John, Sting, Miley Cyrus, Carly Rae Jepsen, and more. His unique blend of pop, rock, folk, and classical music has earned him three GRAMMY nominations and a reputation for crafting genuinely original and moving performances.
His latest project, Folkocracy, released in 2023, showcases his versatility, featuring collaborations with a stellar lineup including John Legend, Anohi, David Byrne, Chaka Khan, and Brandi Carlile. In addition to touring this project, Rufus has been expanding his repertoire with opera, recently premiering a Requiem with Orchestre Philharmonique de la Radio France and upcoming performances in Los Angeles, Barcelona, and Amsterdam.
