Ruff Start Rescue is hosting a Community Giveback Day to provide community members with necessary items to care for their pets.Give to the Max Day is right around the corner, a vital day of giving in Minnesota. Each year, it has been one of the largest fundraising days for Ruff Start Rescue, to help support the needs of the animals in our care, and to continue moving forward in the community by helping people and pets. Each year, we are blown away by the kindness and generosity of our supporters. It made us think - how could we share the love and help our community back?
At Ruff Start Rescue, our commitment goes beyond rescuing animals; it extends to supporting the individuals and families who lovingly care for their pets in our local community. Our mission is centered around ensuring that pets stay in their homes and that everyone has access to the necessary supplies to provide the best care possible. The way we see it, yes, we always need help for the animals in our care, but the overall goal is to help all animals, regardless of whether they are currently in the rescue. Ideally, this mentality will help us prevent animals from needing to enter into our care in the first place.
We're excited to announce an initiative to broaden our reach and provide essential assistance to more pet owners who may require a little extra support. As part of our ongoing efforts, we're eager to share surplus pet supplies that we've set aside specifically for those in our community who might need a helping hand.
On Tuesday, November 19, 2024, from 2 -5 pm (while supplies last) , our doors will be open to welcome anyone in our surrounding communities who are in need of pet supplies. The Giveback Day will feature a range of essential items, including dog and cat food, critter supplies, crates, collars, cleaning supplies, and more. At this time, we are seeing an increase in owner surrenders and a higher need for support. Since we currently have supplies we are able to share, we want to do whatever we can to try and prevent those surrenders and provide assistance. Please note that supplies will be limited, and we kindly request one food bag per household to ensure that everyone in need can benefit from this event.
We see this as a chance not only to provide essential items but also to foster a sense of community. Our team will be available for discussions, information sharing, and guidance on becoming advocates for the animals.
Join us in this heartwarming initiative, where together, we can make a difference in the lives of both pets and their devoted owners. We're enthusiastic about the opportunity to give back and extend our support to the community that has continually supported our cause.
