Roseville Parks & RUFF continue to schedule native tree planting events at Nichols Park, Roseville in April 2024. We can use your help!
About this Event

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

We have two native tree planting events scheduled on Saturdays in April for volunteers to help us with! We have had to cancel several planting events this year due to weather, but we will keep scheduling plantings to get these trees in the ground. We will alert our volunteers if there is a cancellation.

The 1st April event is Saturday April 13, 2024. Join our other volunteers to plant a few trees beginning at 9:00 a.m.

The 2nd event is on Saturday April 27, 2024. Starting at 9:00 a.m. Both plantings are at a preserve near Nichols Park in Roseville!! We have already planted over 450 trees and will be planting several hundred more in the preserve at these events.

Tools, gloves, masks, water and light refreshments are provided. Wear proper clothing and closed toe shoes. Be prepared for muddy conditions and possible light rain. Bring your own water bottle. Masks are recommended when working with the mulch piles.

It is helpful if you can arrive a little early for check-in, so that we can begin planting as close to 9 a.m. as possible.

These are family friendly events. We encourage youth groups, clubs, and neighborhood groups to join us. Contact RUFF IF YOU HAVE A GROUP OF 10 OR MORE. [email protected]

*Check our website on the Friday prior to the planting event to be sure the event hasn't been cancelled due to weather or poor planting conditions. RUFF will also contact volunteers who sign up on Eventbrite as soon as we are informed of any change in plans.

All volunteers will need to sign waiver forms for both RUFF and the City of Roseville. You can download them from our RUFF website: www.rosevilletree.org or we have them available on site the morning of the event.

Parking is available at two locations: 1. Take Westbrook Blvd. to Payson Ave. and park on the trail side of the street. 2. Use the parking lot at the Barbara Chilton Middle School. 4501 Bob Doyle Dr.

Visit our website to find out about other volunteer opportunities over the summer. We mulch prior planted trees in the summer and will resume planting next fall.
