Rudy Villarreal is an Austin area-based musician, singer, and songwriter. He sings, plays guitar and bass, and is the founding member of his band, Fun Gus & The Shrooms. When he's not performing with the band, he performs as a solo artist throughout the Central Texas area. His solo performances can be described as a diverse mix of the 'MTV Unplugged' era. He performs creative acoustic versions of the music he loved as a teenager growing up in South Texas, and from his 'other life' in Southern California.
