¡The fiesta continues!On Wednesday, September 28th, GRCC will be gathering at SoCal Tacos in Conneaut (or Conn-EAT-tacos) Lake for a 3.0mi. ruck around the neighborhood.
We will start the event at SoCal Tacos. SoCal offers some of the best Mexican and Southern Californian cuisine around. Bring your own cash or card and order your food before the ruck. When we've completed the ruck, we'll down some food and call it a night.
Rucking is a form of physical activity that involves walking with a loaded backpack (or ‘rucksack’) over various distances and terrains. (Plate carriers and sandbags are also welcome.) A moderate amount of added weight can produce the same stimulus and metabolic benefit as running, while also strengthening the legs and lower back. Rucking is similar to hiking and is often used as conditioning by backcountry hunters, CrossFitters and those in the military and emergency services.

Essentials to bring: Water, appropriate footwear, appropriate clothing for the weather, and a positive attitude.
