Ruck to Remember

On August 6, 2011, a CH-47 Chinook helicopter was shot down by enemy fire in Afghanistan. This tragedy resulted in the deaths of 30 active duty military members and 1 military working dog, and left shocked and broken families in its wake. The event is considered the worst loss of life in a single incident during the Afghanistan Campaign.

Join us for the first annual Ruck to Remember in Las Vegas, NV over Memorial Day weekend. The Ruck will start in the morning at Veterans Memorial Park and end at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

We will honor and celebrate the incredible lives of the fallen 31Heroes and the lives of the heroes buried at the Veteran's Cemetery.

Donation is $31 and includes a shirt and patch.

DETAILS

Registration closes on Sunday, May 23rd.

Teams of no less than two people.

Teams must carry enough food and water to last them 4-6 hours.

Each team member must carry a cell phone. List of everyone on route maintained at HQ.

Each team must check in at identified check points.

Each team must carry bios of three individuals buried at the cemetery.

Upon arrival, team visits those grave sites and pays respect.
